IN THE CLASSROOM
After being taught the basics of camera shots and movements, campers will learn about the structure of some of their favorite movies, and how to implement these elements into their own films. Campers are given freedom to produce a films on a variety of topics they care about, from lighthearted comedy to more serious drama. Access to tablets and props is provided, but kids are more than welcome to bring in their own materials and equipment.
Industry Standard
Campers are taught to use programs such as iMovie to edit their films after they shoot them. iMovie is an Apple-made program used by filmmakers to create professional material. With such a powerful tool at the fingertips of our campers, they are able to fully realize their creative desires and make something that they are truly proud of. This ultimately leads to more advanced software that we use at Staten Island Tech, like Adobe Premier.
